It was a good friend of mine who suggested coming to London to visit him. I still remember my reaction: "To London? What for? You're mad!" So against my common sense, I came to this city. And, I must admit, ours was a marriage made in heaven. It was love at first sight! I've been married to London ever since.
London has allowed me to develop socially, intellectually and professionally. It was here I found the two jobs that form the core of my curriculum vitae. First I became a Private Banker, then a Property Administrator. At present I am doing a full-time degree in Antique Furniture Restoration, while working part-time and eventually I will become a Curator. It's mad, isn't it? But that is what London is about. Anyone can do as much or as little as they want.
No other place in the world has influenced me the way London has and still does. London is a place where strangers become friends and friends become family; where thoughts can be shaped into reality with one's bare hands. Moving here continues to be the ultimate most important and inspiring decision I have ever made. And one that still continues to shape my life today.
